The Muir Group was founded in 1974 by John Muir and has since grown and prospered, with companies whose skills and expertise complement each other.
Together, they make up a diverse portfolio, including property development, construction, private & social housing, timber frame solutions, leisure facilities and investment, all with a joint renowned mission to maintain and exceed the Group quality.

Each family company continually invests in training and research to keep the whole group at the forefront of developments and technology.

Today the Muir Group employ around 300 staff and has annual turnover above £95 million.

Muir Timber Systems
Established at the same time as Muir Construction, Muir Timber Systems works in conjunction with contractors and partner house builders to source and design timber frame solutions for use in housing, hotels, offices, social housing and healthcare facilities.

Deer Park Golf & Country Club
A regional qualifying course for the British Open and host to the Scottish Championships, Deer Park's 6,690 yard par 72 course makes it one of the most challenging and exciting courses in the UK.

Property Development
Formed in 1977 the company has developed commercial properties throughout Scotland alongside residential led large-scale mixed use regeneration projects.

Property Investments
J W Muir (Property Investments) Limited owns and manages a commercial property portfolio which is valued in excess of £16 million and has a rental income of £1.8 million per annum.
