Vertical Storage Tanks
Cormac manufacture an extensive range of vertical bitumen emulsion and special binder tanks in sizes ranging from 5m³ to 250m³ which can be heated by steam, gas, oil, electric, gas and thermal oil transfer. The tanks all come fully insulated with high density insulation normally 225mm thick giving a minimal heat loss thus, making our tanks very cost effective and energy efficient. The specification includes high and ultimate high audio visual alarms in response to the Refined Bitumen Association code of practice along with the recommended 10% additional capacity to reduce the possibility of any bitumen overflow. Cormac also offer a range of site built tanks for bulk storage in terminals and process plants. The site built tanks come in a range of sizes ranging from 200m³ to 10,000m³ and again can be heated by steam, thermal fluid oil, gas, direct oil fired and electricity. Vertical tanks are now the most popular of our extensive range as they save energy, are easy to maintain and take up minimal space on site.
Horizontal Storage Tanks
Cormac manufacture a range of horizontal bitumen, emulsion and special binder tanks in sizes ranging from 5m³ to 200m³ which can be heated by steam, direct oil fired burner, gas, electricity or thermal fluid transfer. The major benefit of horizontal tanks is the opportunity to use Cormac submerged bitumen pumps. The submerged pump requires little to no maintenance as it is always submerged in bitumen which acts as a lubricant thus prolonging life by reducing wear on moving parts. The tanks all come fully insulated with high density insulation, normally 225mm thick giving a minimal heat loss, thus, making our tanks very cost effective and energy efficient. The specification includes high and ultimate high audio visual alarms in response to the Refined Bitumen Association code of practice which also recommends 10% additional capacity to reduce the possibility of any bitumen overflow.
Mobile Storage Tanks
Cormac recently added to their range of storage tanks a fully mobile 50,000 litre capacity tank.
These tanks were heated by electricity but the range has been developed to include a self contained unit with a direct fired burner and generator unit. The chassis will also accommodate a pump unit and metering valve if required.
The empty tank is fully compliant with current EEC road regulations and comes complete with an ABS braking system.
Stirrer Tanks
Although Cormac often add a agitator to our range of vertical storage tanks we also have a range of horizontal stirrer tanks where the product needs to be constantly mixed with additives. These tanks range from 10m³ up to 25m³ and are normally heated by a thermal oil jacket system. The control system regulates temperature and volumes as well as the required safety devices.
