Our Story
From humble beginnings in Aberdeen and one van supplying plumbing and heating services, the company now operates throughout the North-East of Scotland providing a range of trades services to domestic and commercial clients both on and off-shore.

Throughout our history we've been dedicated to providing excellent customer service and maintaining the highest standards of professional accreditations. Over the years the company has grown organically and through acquisition with the buyout of John Hay bolstering and consolidating the company's position in the region.

Founded in 1979 by Raymond Colville, R&D Services is still a family run business and today employs close to 20 people specialising in many trade disciplines and areas of expertise

Electrical
Whether it is in the home, your offices, warehouse or industrial unit, our team of electricians can assist with any work you may require, operating to the highest standards of health and safety and maintaining the most up to date industry qualifications. Some of our most common requests are new lighting schemes, additional sockets, inspection & testing as well as industrial repairs.

Plumbing & Heating
From plumbing emergencies that require a fast response, to new installations and plumbing upgrades our dedicated professionals are here to help.
We are also specialists in bathroom installations for both domestic and commercial needs with a full design and installation offer.

Gas
We are a Gas Safe registered company and all of our engineers are multi-skilled and fully qualified. We are experienced in the repair and maintenance of all types of gas heating and hot water systems.

In addition we are also the only accredited service agents in the North-East of Scotland for Ariston and can also provide bespoke preventative maintenance contracts, ad-hoc repairs and emergency response care as per our 24/7 365 days a year call out service guarantee.

We offer complete support for central and gas appliances for both domestic and commercial customers from a simple landlord certificate to full breakdown and servicing for homes and businesses.

Multi-trade
As a multi-trade business we are well placed to assist with and manage projects that require various construction services. Our dedicated teams allow us to offer these services simultaneously resulting in minimal delay to any project, increasing completion times and reducing costs overall.

A one-stop shop, we also provide project management oversight and because all trades are supplied in-house we are able to streamline any delivery schedule and maintain open and steady communication with all parts of an ongoing project.

Boilers
We are accredited installers and suppliers of Ideal, Worcester and Vokera boilers, brands that are recognised as some of the safest and most efficient in the U.K. All our boilers come with a range of warranties and are all professionally installed by Gas Safe registered engineers specialising in every boiler type; combi, system and heat.

R&D Services is also an agent of Ariston boilers in the North-East of Scotland and are a recognised repair and servicing partner.
