About ProTen Services

ProTen Services are a specialist property preservation company. As contractors and surveyors we provide property preservation, protection and repair solutions to homes, commercial and historical properties throughout the UK from survey through to carrying out onsite works.

As property preservation specialists, we offer the following:

Property Preservation
Welcome to your damp proofing, condensation control and timber treatment specialists. Where property problems are ongoing and left untreated, damp, condensation and the resulting issues such as timber decay, dry rot and woodworm, can all take hold. The result is ever increasing property problems that become more and more difficult and costly to repair.

As a highly experienced property preservation company that works with both residential and commercial clients, ProTen Services are here to help through all stages of the process. We provide property survey and problem diagnosis through to recommending and carrying out the works necessary to make sure properties are correctly treated, maintained and properly protected.

Basements & Waterproofing
We install below ground waterproofing systems to combat damp basement problems, as part of a basement conversion and as protection from floods. We also carry out sump & pump inspections and radon testing.

We help both our residential and commercial clients with below ground waterproofing projects in the following ways:

We design and install waterproofing systems for basement and cellar conversions, working with the architect or basement conversion company.
We apply waterproofing systems to combat damp problems in a damp basement or cellar.
To stop damp where there is no basement but external ground is higher than the internal floor.
To install sump and pumps as well as inspection and sump and pump servicing.
To combine the control of radon gas with a waterproofing system.
To make properties more resilient to the effects of flooding using waterproofing products, methods and materials.

Structural Repair
Cracks in internal walls, horizontal cracking in brick work, bowing brickwork, cracked lintels, arches and window cills, are all signs that a building is undergoing movement or corrosion of some description. As Structural Repair Surveyors and Contractors, our services are focused on the masonry repairs used to strengthen and to stop further movement. We survey, diagnose, design and install the systems required for the repair of the many different structural scenarios that can affect properties.

Professional and thorough. Problems with old exposed brickwork led to increased cost but the issue was handled well, including a second surveyor’s visit. Operatives Alan and Lee were courteous and thorough and I appreciated their efforts to reduce dust as much as possible. Alan took great care sheeting up before starting work and Lee spent a good deal of time clearing up before he left on the last day.

The work was carried out promptly. Initial survey was fully explained and a detailed schedule of work required set out. The job was completed by a friendly and competent workman. Complete satisfaction will only be known when after twelve months the plaster has fully dried and no damp is detected

Can’t fault the installer, who’s attitude and workmanship were exemplary. However, the surveyor did not access the loft in connection with the bathroom installation, which lack of information about that area caused the installer a few irritating problems. The survey was not sufficiently thorough. Otherwise, job well done !
