About Skye Marine Limited
Skye Marine Limited is based on the Isle of Skye and provides Safety Boat, Work Boat and Media Boat services throughout Scotland.
We have MCA qualified and experienced commercial skippers and crew, we are fully insured (incl. £3m public liability) and we are certified by the relevant authorities for our scope of operation.
For projects where there is risk of spillage into the water (fuel, oil, debris) we always have at our disposal absorbent spill containment booms which can be deployed rapidly from our safety boat in order to help our clients comply with their environmental protection obligations.

Skye Marine’s ROV/Underwater Drone is ideal for supporting underwater survey, inspection, environmental, conservation and TV/film work.
The Underwater Drone is powered by 6 thrusters allowing precise control and remarkable manoeuvrability – it can move sideways, forwards/backwards, up/down, roll, pan, tilt and yaw with exceptional stability down to a maximum depth of 100m.
The integrated Sony 4K UHD camera has an ultra-wide angle lens giving 166° field of view which is ideal for video photography and inspection tasks. With two variable intensity 2000 lumen LED headlights, the ROV/Underwater Drone can be used to record video or take photos even when there is no ambient light. The camera has an aperture of 2.5 and a maximum ISO of 6,400, which means it performs well in low light conditions and provides bright clear images. The camera delivers 4K footage at 30 frames per second or can film at 1080p with an impressive resolution of 120 fps. With an advanced motion stabilisation system the ROV/Underwater Drone also avoids blurred shots.
