  • Dry Rot Treatment
  • Dry Rot is a dangerous fungal decay that primarily affects timber due to dampness in the surrounding areas. It is often found in areas hidden away from view, such as floorboards or behind walls. Established Dry Rot will begin to show physical signs, including patches on the wall and fruiting bodies of the fungus, significant damage may have already been caused by the time these fungal fruiting bodies appear.

  • Wet Rot Treatment
  • Wet rot is a type of fungal decay that affects timber and other wooden materials. It is caused by the growth of certain species of fungi that thrive in damp, humid conditions. Wet rot can occur when wooden materials are exposed to moisture over a prolonged period of time, either from water leaks or high levels of humidity.

  • Penetrating Dampness
  • Penetrating dampness occurs when water enters the building’s structure from the outside, or from an internal source. It can be caused by a number of different factors including leaking or broken pipes, poorly maintained roofs, poor drainage and inadequate weatherproofing.

  • Rising Dampness
  • The term ‘rising dampness’ refers to moisture that rises up from the ground and into a building’s walls. When this moisture enters the walls, it can cause a range of problems, from staining and damp patches on walls to decorative, plaster and joinery deterioration.

  • Basement Water Management
  • Water damage can promote mould growth and weaken the foundations of your property. Professional management ensures that the basement is properly sealed whilst managing the water flow around your structure. Providing a good drainage system for any water that does manage to enter the basement is important.

  • Wood-boring Infestation
  • The most common sources of these infestations are wood-boring beetles and their larvae, also known as woodworm. These insects are attracted to wood because of its high cellulose content, which is essential for their development. Wood-boring infestations can be brought into your home by a variety of sources, such as from a piece of furniture or a wooden object. These insects feed on wood, leaving tunnels and galleries inside. These tunnels can weaken the wood, leading to structural damage over time.
