Rok has won a framework contract for Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE).
HIE, the Scottish Government's economic and community development agency, has appointed Rok as sole contractor on the framework worth up to £32m over four years.
The company, which held HIE's previous Prime Contractor Framework, won the contract following a five-way tender to renew the deal.
Under the framework, Rok will undertake every stage of most of HIE’s building projects across the entire Highlands and Islands region, from design right through to construction and completion, in conjunction with supply chain members.
Rok already has extensive experience of working with HIE, completing the £22m Centre for Health Science in Inverness, which provides academic and practical facilities to medical, nursing and dental students from the Universities of Stirling and Aberdeen, as well as UHI, the prospective University of the Highlands and Islands.
Commenting on the contract win, Rok’s Chief Executive, Garvis Snook, said: "Being re-appointed to deliver the Prime Contractor Framework underlines the high quality of our work and the strong relationship we have developed with HIE. We look forward to continuing to work closely with HIE throughout the new framework contract.
"Our selection is a reflection of the company’s commitment to the region. We continue to demonstrate our investment in skilled teams around the country allowing us to take on projects across the UK."
Keith Bryers, Head of Property & Infrastructure at HIE, added: "We welcome Rok's new appointment in the face of some very high-quality competition and look forward to working with the Rok team on infrastructure and building projects across our region, many of which will be challenging in terms of timescale and location."
