Crammond Select Homes, of Bridge of Allan, recently installed the A. Proctor Group’s Protech GM Super high performance gas protection system on their redevelopment of the former Chalmers Church site, also in Bridge Of Allan.
This project involves the conversion of the existing church into 8 apartments, along with 5 new build apartments.
Working closely with the A. Proctor Group’s Regional Sales Manager, David Forsyth, Crammond Select Homes chose to specify the Protech GM Super geomembrane. GM Super is a high performance, proprietary, reinforced gas barrier, that incorporates a 12 micron aluminium foil layer, for maximum protection against the ingress of ground gasses.
Designed with the latest standards and guidance in mind, the heavy duty reinforcing grid ensures the membrane meets the need to survive construction, reducing the impact of tears and punctures on the membranes long term performance.
This, combined with the A. Proctor Group’s expert design and specification advice, allowed Crammond Select Homes to easily install a robust and compliant design for the ground gas protection measures, and to have confidence that the design performance would be achieved in practice. Recognising the superior range of membranes offered by the A. Proctor Group, Bobby Halliday Architects in Bridge of Allan also specified Roofshield vapour and air permeable underlay for their roof constructions.
Further information on both Protech GM Super and Roofshield can be found online at www.proctorgroup.com or by calling 01250 872261.
