The final touches are now being made to the facility, which will open to the public from 10am next Tuesday (April 26).
The library has been closed for just over two months to allow for a comprehensive refurbishment.
New mobile shelving has been installed to make the space more flexible and enable different activities to take place, as well as a new ceiling, flooring and lighting.
Pat McCann, Argyll and Bute’s culture and libraries manager, said the new library was a big improvement on the previous facility.

“The people of Rothesay deserve a modern, user-friendly library, and that’s what they boast now,” he added.
“I am confident that word of mouth will soon mean that people who might never have used the library in the past will come along to explore the redeveloped building and see what it has to offer.
“The interior of the library has been completely transformed by the addition of new shelving, flooring, ceiling and lights. Existing customers will notice a big difference, and I hope the improvements also help to attract new members of all ages.
“I’m delighted Rothesay now has a library which is fit for the demands of the modern library service.”
Rothesay Library’s opening hours will be 10am-1pm and 2pm-7pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. It will be closed on Sundays and Mondays.
The library will be open on Friday, April 29 – the day of the Royal Wedding – to compensate for the fact that it will be closed on Election day (Thursday, May 5).
