As part of its growth in Scotland, King Sturge has announced the appointed Caroline Parker to head up the Scottish Valuation team within the firm. She will join King Sturge as a partner in the Scottish team but her role will also involve working for clients across the UK.
Caroline was formerly divisional director and head of Scotland valuations at Savills for more than seven years and was also director of valuation at Chesterton. She has worked closely with all the major banks and building societies in the UK and has also provided valuation and re-structuring advice to many leading property companies, developers, investors and fund managers.
The team will be based across both Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, with Caroline herself working from London part of each week. Also joining to work alongside Andrew Crosbie in Glasgow is Richard Summers, with Kim McGurk (team secretary/PA to Caroline) and Allan Briggs joining Steven Hirst in Edinburgh.
Formerly of Savills, Allan Briggs joins King Sturge as an associate. He has worked alongside Caroline for more than six years at Savills and previously worked for almost three years in Leeds for Edward Symmons. Allan has developed a wealth of valuation expertise and experience and is looking forward to a new challenge at King Sturge.
Commenting on her appointment, Caroline Parker said “I was attracted by King Sturge’s growth strategy and the fantastic opportunity for me to work with an entrepreneurial and developing firm. We have created a strong and highly experienced valuation team in Scotland and have ambitious plans to grow our business further in this sector.”
Fiona Hamilton, Retail Partner Scotland and Head of King Sturge in Glasgow said “We see Caroline’s appointment and the establishment of the new valuation team as crucial to drive our business development objectives in Scotland. The banking sector will remain an important player in the market and we delighted to have attracted such a successful and established team, which is highly respected in the valuation sector throughout the UK.”
