And to mark the opening of the £4.2million school the pupils were piped in by former pupil Ross Forrest.
They are now settling into their four-classroom building complete with an assembly/dining room, general purpose area and two-room community wing with its own toilets and kitchen area.
There is also a range of playground games and seating, an external teaching area and a multi-use games area.

Head Teacher Julie McGowan said: "We are absolutely delighted with our new school. The effect of the move to the new building has been immense. It has brought a renewed sense of pride and ownership in the school and has refreshed the school ethos for pupils and staff.
"The new school is undoubtedly better equipped for teaching and learning in the 21st century and staff and pupils alike are thrilled to be here."
Constructed by Morgan Sindall, the school is the latest to be rebuilt as part of the council's £812m Primary Schools Modernisation Programme.
Larry Forde, South Lanarkshire Council's Executive Director of Education Resources said: "It is a momentous occasion for the Dalserf Primary School community and I wish them all the very best in their new school.
"This is the 55th school to be completed as part of our commitment to ensuring all our pupils can learn in bright and modern surroundings and get the very best possible start."
