On behalf of owners, Capital Shopping Centre, Glasgow based Rearo has created a brand new state of the art Baby Changing Facility at Braehead Shopping Centre in Renfrew.
A relaxed, spacious and colourful new area for people with young families has been designed by Rearo, on the instruction of Quality Facilities Management (QFM), who are on the approved contractors list and are currently carrying out works within the popular shopping centre. The newly opened area is on the second floor of the centre, conveniently located adjacent to the food court.
Providing a total design solution the firm, specified and fabricated baby change worktops using Corian® Spring Green and Antique Amethyst with each worktop complete with fully integrated colour match Corian Fontana® wash hand basin. All wall panelling was created as bespoke Selkie™ Board, with main walls and IPS featuring Formica® Macchiato and Formica® Classic Walnut, while feature panels use Formica Lime and Formica Viola. The team commissioned matching leather sofas and lamp shades to complete the striking design.
In addition, they upgraded the washroom facilities within the McDonalds outlet and the combined value of the contracts represents a further significant six figure investment in Braehead Shopping Centre.
Peter Beagley, Braehead Shopping General Manager, commented: "With the works which have been carried out, the facilities in Braehead must be ranked as amongst the best in Scotland. In particular, what has been created in the new look Baby Change area is an exceptionally functional modern environment for parents and babies, which at the same time, offers a practical and, most importantly, hygienic solution."
