Contempo Lettings, the residential letting and property management franchise, is looking for the right partner to open an office in Dundee.
The company is currently involved in an expansion programme to increase the number of offices it has in Scotland from seven to over 30 over the next three years.
Contempo Lettings has four franchises in Glasgow, one in Aberdeen while two opened last month in Edinburgh. Its aim is to establish another 30 over the next three years.
"We are looking for the right partner to take advantage of a business opportunity in a growing market," said Carolyn Donaldson, Contempo Letting’s managing director.
"We have set ourselves a real challenge but we are determined and ambitious to grow. Dundee, Stirling, Perth and Inverness are among those on our target list.
"Contempo’s plans have two major benefits – to meet the rising need for rented property and to offer an alternative way for people losing their jobs, in the public sector for example, to earn and start their own business.
"We will have more properties for tenants and we are giving people the chance to start up a franchise with us for a minimum investment of £19,500, backed by our expert accountancy and legal team.
"The initial investment for franchisees is low as there is no immediate need for premises or staff as Contempo offers a central office to handle client accounts and legal issues.
"We believe this helps the individual franchisee to be profitable more quickly."
Set up in 2007, Contempo is one of the very few franchisors based in Scotland in any industry sector.
In general terms, the buy-to-let market is currently very strong with demand being high from tenants, and more and more investors see property as providing the highest yield on the market.
The residential lettings’ market remains one of the most stable sectors of the property market despite the poor economic climate.
It is a British Franchise Association (BFA) approved lettings and property management franchise that is keen to expand in Dundee and is looking for the right partner to help drive Contempo forward in the city.
Contempo believes its unique model provides individuals with a turnkey business opportunity to build a portfolio of managed properties providing someone with residual monthly management commission.
Last year all of its branches grew with some growing more than 30 per cent, an impressive result in the current market.
