Exhibition To Display Blairgowrie Improvement Proposals

A public exhibition is to be held next week in Blairgowrie to give the public a chance to view proposed improvements in the Wellmeadow and Riverside areas of the town centre.

Perth & Kinross Council has announced the public consultation.

Improvements to the Wellmeadow bus stance and surrounding junctions include the enhancement of the area, replacing the existing traffic signals at the Boat Brae/Wellmeadow junction, alterations to the entrance of the Wellmeadow car park and

improved lighting.

The Council says environmental improvements are also planned within the Wellmeadow, including improving entrances with the provision of new street furniture and stone walling and improving the power supply and lighting.

At the Riverside, the proposals include the provision of a new play area, better access to the formal gardens, an improved pedestrian link to the Wellmeadow to encourage more visitors and the refurbishing of Cargill's Leap.

Plans will be on display at the bus stance area from Monday 21 to Friday 25 January.

A staffed display is also being planned for the Tesco supermarket in Blairgowrie on 24 January between 09:00 and 17:00.

An open evening event at the Angus Hotel will be held the same evening between 18:30 and 20:30.
