According to Urban Realm, Map Property and Leisure Springside Ltd, together with Fountain North, submitted the plans for the Hyatt Place hotel.
The project has been designed by Archial and will see a four-star hotel built on the site of a former brewery.

A courtyard car park to the rear of the building is also included in the plans.
The build is situated next to the grade A listed Pilkington building in the area.
In addition to the hotel, the planning application also includes associated facilities, food and drink (class 3) unit, car parking, hard and soft landscaping and other associated works.
As part of the design, it is thought a projecting box at ground level will mark the entrance to a glazed active base which will house a bar, lounge, café and dining room.
If the plans are approved, the Hyatt Place hotel would be one of the largest hotels in the capital.
