Following a recent move to new premises in Paisley, Pinnacle Training are hoping to continue their expansion in the Renfrewshire area.
The company delivers bespoke training courses throughout Scotland covering a range of industry sectors including Construction, Health and Safety and In-House short courses.
Pinnacle Training are currently one of very few companies in Scotland accredited to offer Level 3 Carpentry and Joinery OSAT (On-Site Assessment Training), which enables the candidate to gain a recognised SVQ while carrying out their day to day work. This qualification was previously, and is still predominantly, gained through a long term college course; however the OSAT is ideal for candidates working on-site and wishing to gain their qualification without taking valuable time away from work.
As well as the Carpentry and Joinery, other subjects include Level 2 Construction Operations, Highway Maintenance, Interior Systems, Ceiling Fixing and more. Funding and grants are available for these courses and Pinnacle offers support and guidance with this.
Established in early 2012, the firm has since grown to be an approved training provider for large scale organisations such as North Lanarkshire Council.
Director and lead trainer/assessor/verifier, James Furie, has more than 10 years training experience, and more than 30 years trade experience across various industries and said: "I asked myself if there was a way to use my trade skills and knowledge in another way, and realised the Training sector was the way forward."
More than a decade later, after working with young people on the Modern Apprenticeship Programme, and working for various companies including HB Training, Learning World Acadamies (Pearsons Group, Edexcel) and notably becoming an External Verifier for SQA, Mr Furie decided to set up Pinnacle Training.
Earlier this year, the decision was made to move from North Lanarkshire to Paisley, Renfrewshire to allow the company to offer their services and training to a broader audience across the central belt.
