Event For New Council Housing Proposals

An information event is being held to reveal details of a new council housing proposal for Cowdenbeath.

Fife Council is encouraging members of the public to discuss the planned development in the Kings Street/Rosehill Crescent area of Cowdenbeath.

The proposal is for affordable homes to be built in the area with a mix of amenity and wheelchair bungalows and two storey houses.


Alan Russell, Senior Manager for Housing Asset Management said: "We will have members of the Council's Design and Housing teams at the event to talk through the proposals with local residents and answer any questions people may have about what we intend to submit for planning approval.

"It's important to remember that the planning application for this development has not yet been placed. We are looking for early feedback on our initial proposal to ensure that we are taking the needs and concerns of local residents into consideration. The outcome of this will potentially help us shape the application."

The drop-in event will be held at Cowdenbeath Library on Monday 5 August between 1.30pm and 7pm.
