The local authority hopes to sign up three companies to help deliver Phase 2 of its upgrade programme. The programme would take place over a four-year period.
The Schools and Centres 21 Phase 2 investment scheme will include a mix of primary and secondary school projects which may or may not have associated community facilities.

It is anticipated that these projects will be principally new construction, but as the specific nature of projects are not all known at this point, major refurbishment is sometimes the only solution available for some buildings.
On the Public Contracts Scotland website it says the value of the framework agreement for the purposes of the OJEU contract notice will be £200m, however the council's internal funding cap approved for the framework agreement will be around £100m at this time.
The council is funding the Schools and Centres 21 Phase 2 investment programme through generating revenue savings to raise capital funding, and this approach would provide flexibility for the authority to review its budgets over the next four years.
