Consultation For New Aberdeen Schools

Construction News Image
Aberdeen Council is holding a formal consultation regarding proposals to build two new amalgamated schools in the area.

The first proposal by the local authority is to close Bramble Brae and Quarryhill Schools and create a new school within the existing Quarryhill building and campus. The new facility would accommodate pupils in the catchment area for the two affected schools, including those from new housing developments.

The second initiative is to close Glashieburn School and Middleton Park School and establish a new amalgamated building within the existing Glashieburn building and campus. The school would accommodate all pupils in the current Glashieburn catchment area and those in the amended Middleton Park School catchment areas. The Council is also proposing to vary the catchment area of Middleton Park School and the adjacent Brimmond School and Bucksburn Academy.
