The Green Homes Cashback scheme, which is managed by the Energy Saving Trust, means each Scottish household could be eligible for funds to go towards installing a new boiler, insulation or other energy efficiency measures.
The Scottish Government's Green Homes Cashback scheme lets householders claim:
- Up to £500 for insulation measures including loft, cavity or solid wall
- Up to £400 to replace an old boiler
- Up to £300 for other measures (such as glazing, LED lighting and heating controls).
Claims submitted through the scheme before 31 December 2013 will also receive up to £150 towards the cost of the assessment through which applicable measures are recommended.
Homeowners, tenants and private sector landlords can all apply.
