The first event, held by the local authority and South Carrick Community Leisure (SCCL), was held last month and displayed the plans for the new facility.
The 3,425 square metre facility will include a four-lane swimming pool and teaching pool, with associated viewing gallery, a children's soft play area, a cafe, a community hall for theatre, cinema and other activities, a fitness suite, a rooftop viewing gallery with panoramic views towards Ailsa Craig and civic space, parking and landscaping.
The exhibitions being organised form just one part of a 12-week consultation period, which runs until mid-January 2014.
Councillor Bill McIntosh, Leader of South Ayrshire Council, said: "The exhibitions are a great opportunity for local people to really get a sense of the look and feel of the building and determine how it will impact on the town and the local environment – as well as ask questions from those closest to the project. I would encourage as many people as possible to drop-in over the next couple of weeks and let us know what they think of the proposed facility."
The remaining exhibitions will be held at the Town House on Girvan's Knockcushan Street on:
- Wednesday 4 December from 10am to 4pm
- Monday 9 December from 10am to 4pm
- Wednesday 11 December from 10am to 4pm
- Monday 16 December from 10am to 4pm
- Wednesday 18 December from 10am to 4pm.
