SHR Announces Consultation On Accounting Determination

The Scottish housing Regulator (SHR) has written to landlords and other key stakeholders to announce the start of a consultation on a revised Accounting Determination.

The move follows the publication of a revised Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) late last month.

The revised SORP introduces a changes to the way RSLs present their financial statements. SORP 2014 will introduce the changes required under Financial Reporting Standard 102 (FRS102).


The body said it would consult with a "wide range of interested bodies including landlords, auditors, tenant representatives and others who are interested in our work."

Ian Brennan, Director of Finance and Risk, said: "It's important that we take account of the views of the sector when developing our guidance, and this consultation will provide an opportunity for everyone to let us hear what they think. I encourage everyone to consider the consultation and to let us have their comments."

The consultation will close on 26 November 2014.
