The £25m contract will see the engineering firm deliver an Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) facility for GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) at its Montrose site in the area.
The two companies will work together to design, build and install the facility which will produce active ingredients for three of GSK's new medicines. Currently, 40 engineers from Doosan Babcock are already on site having completed an initial study undertaken last year.

When the facility is completed, expected to be in summer 2016, GSK has said it plans to hire an additional 25 employees.
Welcoming the contract, Andrew Hunt, Chief Executive Officer at Doosan Babcock, said: "This is a milestone contract for Doosan Babcock and it is great to see that our major investment and ongoing work in Scotland's pharmaceutical sector is being noticed.
