The council consequently commissioned to local firms – cbec eco engineering and Walking-the-Talk – to produce detailed design plans for the Seaton Park Wetlands Project. Initial survey work has been undertaken to help the designers with their options.
Aberdeen Council has said it now wants to hear from the local community regarding their views for the scheme.

The designs will be on public display from today (Monday 23 February) until 26 February at St Machar Cathedral, 18 The Chanonry. In addition, further information about the project can be found online.
Councillor Neil Cooney, Aberdeen City Council's Convener of Communities, Housing and Infrastructure Committee, said: "The views of the local community are vital to this process and I would encourage everyone with an interest in Seaton Park to have a look at the design options for the wetland area and take part in the consultation."
Tamsin Morris, of Walking-the-Talk, commented: "We have produced artist's impressions of what the wet area might look like in a number of different scenarios.
"We hope the public will chose their preferred design options, as well as give us ideas on any other changes and improvements they would like to see in this part of the park. We will then consider those comments and ideas and try and work out the best possible design for the site."
