Submissions Invited For Comhairle nan Eilean Siar LDP

Comhairle nan Eilean Siar has said it is inviting submissions of ideas for a new Local Development Plan (LDP). The ideas are for Planning Issues and Development Sites, with the plan outlining the Comhairle's strategy to shape future development in the area over the next 20 years.

The Comhairle is looking to for suitable sites for a range of uses including economic development and affordable housing provision. It is also issuing a 'Call for Sites' process in order to inform the Local Development Plan Main Issues Report. The Call for Sites process allows a range of agents with land interests – including individuals, developers, grazing committees and community land trusts – to come forward with potential land available for development.

The deadline for submissions is Friday 15 May 2015. The relevant forms can be found on the Comhairle website.
