Clackmannanshire Council has announced a new affordable housing project has begun.
The Kingdom Housing Association (HA) is working in partnership with the council to deliver the development at Ann Street, Tillicoultry.
Representatives from the local authority and Kingdom also visited the site at Alloa Road, Tullibody, where the HA are developing a project of 27 new homes for social rent.
Plans include building 21 new homes for social rent on the site of a former Community Centre in Tillicoultry which was demolished in 2013.
The project cost is nearly £2.5 million and the council were awarded £782,000 from the Scottish Government Town Centre Fund to assist with the development.
A mix of one and two bedroom homes will be provided with the majority (17) having been designed as single storey amenity bungalows.
The remaining four new homes are cottage flats.
The contractor for the development is Marshall Construction.
Council Leader Les Sharp said: "I am delighted to see work begin on this site in Tillicoultry. This partnership project demonstrates our commitment to increasing the number of houses available for rent in our communities."
The properties at both Tillicoultry and Tullibody have been designed to high energy efficiency standards in accordance with Building Regulations Silver Standard of Sustainability and Mechanical Ventilations.
Heat Recovery Systems are being installed to optimise indoor air quality.
Energy Monitoring Meters are being installed and the projects have been designed to Secured by Design Standards.
The Alloa Road project is Kingdom's first development in Clackmannanshire.
The 27 homes are being built to the same standard as the Tillicoultry project.
Build work began in February and the contract is likely to be completed in early 2016, costing £2.9 million.
Kingdom will receive £1.7 million in a Scottish Grant subsidy to allow them to provide the new homes for social rent.
The contractor for the development is Campion Homes.
