The council has carried out 10 improvement schemes at a number of primary schools over the summer break.
Works included developing a large open playroom and improved toilet facilities at Bannockburn Primary School Nursery, as well as remodelling works at both Fallin Nursery and Family Centre and Borestone Primary School Nursery.
In addition, new boiler plant, pipework and heaters have been installed at Strathblane Primary School, while Fintry Primary has received asbestos removal, new ceilings, new lighting and redecoration works.

Further schemes include refurbishment works in classrooms and corridors at St Mary's Primary School in Bannockburn, the development of a quiet room for pupils with additional support needs in Killin Primary School and the installation of a new fire alarm system in Dunblane Primary.
Arnprior Nursery's toilets have also been refurbished to incorporate a new nappy changing facility, while Buchanan Primary School's kitchen has been refurbished.
Education Convenor Alistair Berrill said: "I was very pleased to see these important improvements being made to the schools estate. Even in the current difficult economic climate it shows that Stirling Council is committed to providing the best possible schools and nurseries for Stirling's children."
