The six-month scheme, jointly funded by the Home Energy Efficiency Programmes for Scotland, will see external cladding replaced in buildings in Wallacetoun, Ayr; Woodpark in Prestwick; and at Troon Harbour.

With work now underway on the project, it is expected residents will save around £200 per year through improved energy efficiency.
Cllr Philip Saxton said: "As work gets underway in the three towns, people will soon be enjoying the benefits of warm, dry, energy efficient homes that will be cheaper to run in the long-term.
"The new cladding will help to reduce fuel poverty, make the properties more attractive places to live in the long term, while enhancing the local area."
The programme is scheduled to be completed this summer.
