Residents Invited To Huntly Flood Scheme Drop-In Session

Aberdeenshire Council is inviting residents to find out more information about the £3.5 million Huntly Flood Protection Scheme.

A drop-in session will take place later this month to provide local people with an update on the project's progress.

The development's contractor, Wills Brothers Civil Engineering, will give a short presentation on the general progress of the works. Construction drawings provided by the council will also be available for public viewing.


Overall, the scheme aims to reduce the risk of flooding to the Meadows Park area of Huntly and to the A920, Huntly to Dufftown Road.

Gavin Penman, Projects Manager, said: "We look forward to welcoming residents from Huntly and the surrounding areas to our drop-in information evening. It's vital that we communicate with those who live and work in the area with regards to what is an extremely important project.

"We hope to see as many people as possible come down to see our progress and our team will be on hand to respond to any queries or concerns members of the public may have."

The drop-in session will take place from 7pm – 9pm at the Nordic Ski Centre in Huntly on Wednesday, 29 March.
