The council will start carrying out carriageway resurfacing on the A907 Halbeath Road at Halbeath Retail Park from 06 July. Completion is scheduled for 28 July.
To carry out the work safely, a contraflow system will be used to manage traffic flow in both east and west bound directions during the works. Access will be maintained for the retail park and for emergency services.

Cllr Altany Craik: "We maintain over 2,400 km of roads in Fife and we're investing nearly £10 million this year repairing and improving them.
"Our road network is vital to support economic development, inward investment, tourism, leisure and travel to work. Almost everyone in Fife uses our roads on a daily basis, which is why this type of maintenance work is so essential."
Cllr Craik added: "We apologise for any inconvenience and delay caused by these essential works, and we'll try to keep any disturbance to a minimum. Your patience and co-operation during this time is greatly appreciated."
