Work on a new cottage flat housing development in West Lothian is now complete.
CCG has built 12 'affordable' homes on Foulshiels Road in Stoneyburn.
The development is designed to suit people with a range of needs, with two homes built to full wheelchair standard. In addition, each flat has inclusive design features, offering flexibility and adaptability particularly for people with age or health-related conditions.
Other features include 'silver standard' energy efficiency levels with the installation of photovoltaic (solar) panels.
The project is the second development to have been delivered for Almond Housing Association (HA), with CCG having completed Forth Court in Livingston earlier this year.
Almond HA developed the Stoneyburn homes on behalf of the West Lothian Development Alliance and ownership of the properties has now been transferred to Horizon Housing Association.
Julia Fitzpatrick, Horizon's Managing Director said: "Horizon has provided additional resources to enable this project to proceed and to help enhance the design specifications, part of our overall commitment to increasing the supply of accessible homes. As part of the Alliance, we are delighted to be bringing new social rented homes to the community of Stoneyburn and wish our new tenants a very happy first Christmas in their new home."
Calum Murray, Director of CCG, said: "CCG's specialism in off-site manufacturing has ensured that these homes have been delivered to the highest quality standard whilst the excellent thermal properties of our timber system will offer long-term energy savings for residents.
"A faster speed of construction has ensured residents have entered their homes much faster than if the development was built traditionally – Foulshiels Road was constructed wind and watertight in just 4 weeks."
