The architectural practice was chosen after emerging as the winner of a design competition featuring a shortlist of six teams and over 20 applications.
The College of Arts' new building forms part of the University's campus development programme on the site of the former Western Infirmary. The building will be located on the south of the site facing Kelvingrove Museum and Art Gallery, as well as forming a key part of the new cultural quarter in the west end of Glasgow.

The new building will also provide a range of cultural and learning opportunities for our local community and the city of Glasgow as a whole.

Over the next year, the design team will work closely with the College of Arts and Estates and Commercial Services staff to develop the new building from concept to detail design.
The new building is due to be completed in 2022.
