The proposals involve creating a new Carrick Academy, an amalgamated Cairn Primary and Gardenrose Primary, a new St Cuthbert's Primary and associated early years provision in the grounds of the existing Carrick Academy.
With capacity for 1,400 pupils, the development will also feature two full size all-weather pitches, and shared community facilities.

Residents in Maybole and North Carrick are now being given the opportunity to have their say in a consultation which will run until Friday, 20 April. The final outcome of this will be considered for a final council decision this summer.
Cllr William Grant said: "We're committed to providing young people with the best chances in life and while the standard of education in Maybole is high, the existing schools are badly in need of significant investment.
"By creating a brand new community campus, we'll create a network of schools on a par with similar projects that have been completed or are underway across South Ayrshire, and which are already helping to transform the way people are taught."
