So far this year, the council has already delivered eight new homes at Riverside and also plans to build four new homes on the site of the former Fire Station in Callander and convert the former Local Office in Fallin into four new apartments.

Speaking at the opening of the 20 new homes at Royal Park View on Wednesday, Housing Portfolio Holder Cllr Evelyn Tweed said: "I was delighted to be on hand today to officially open the latest new Council housing development in Stirling.

"It is one of this Administration's key priorities to build more social rented housing and this development will result in an increased supply of good-quality, energy-efficient, affordable housing which helps address identified housing needs.

"When completed, the development will make a significant contribution to the regeneration of Raploch."
