The Montrose South Regeneration Project has scooped the Innovation in Property and Asset Management award at a national awards ceremony in London.

The project was head-fronted by Angus Council and aimed to breathe life back into a run down former industrial area. The £3.1 million investment resulted in the creation of the new spine road in Montrose that provides better access for businesses and port users and helps keep commercial and residential traffic apart.

Since 2013, the council has turned the investment into £100 million of private sector money and created over 200 jobs.
