The new facility is being funded by the Scottish Borders Council as part of a £3.1 million investment over the next four years in new play parks, skate park and pump tracks and other outdoor community facilities.
A community picnic event will take place to celebrate the opening of the new park.
Convener, Councillor David Parker, said: "I am delighted that we have another play area to open, following so soon after Party in the Park which saw £2,500 raised for local charities at the opening the hugely popular Rowan Boland play park.

"There are plans for further new outdoor play facilities in the Borders to encourage young people across the region to keep active.
"I know there is real excitement in Oxton and I would encourage as many people as possible to come along on Saturday for what should be a great day."
Oxton play park follows the opening of the Rowan Boland play park in Galashiels in May, as well as investments in facilities in Hawick, Selkirk and Lauder in recent years.
A number of other new facilities are due to be built in the coming years as part of the Council's £3.1m investment.
