Aberdeen-based Atlas Knowledge, a leading provider of training and learning technologies in safety critical industries, is today celebrating being listed as one of the Top 15 Highest Performing Learning Technology Providers in the UK.

The Learning and Performance Institute (LPI) compiled the list that was released this month. The LPI evaluates companies using eight key performance indicators (KPI's). Each KPI contains several sub-indicators and everyone is individually assessed and scored against a reference framework. The KPI's cover a detailed look at everything from business integrity to delivery capability and personnel development.

For over 20 years, Atlas has served the learning and compliance needs of standards bodies, regulators and more than 1,700 corporate customers, including six of the top 10 largest energy companies in the world.

Atlas Knowledge provides the online version of the award winning OPITO Minimum Industry Safety Training (MIST) course, which since its launch in 2009, has trained, assessed and validated over 97,000 offshore oil and gas workers across 94 countries, saving the industry an estimated 227,000 training days.

In addition, Atlas offers its own Competence Assurance Management System (CAMS) and Engage Learning Management System. Both systems have been developed specifically for safety critical industries with compliance-based awards, certification and remote access being core attributes.

Kevin Short, Atlas Knowledge CEO said: "In this ever-evolving digital landscape, we have seen the introduction and continued acceptance of digital standards and delivery through eLearning. Learners can now access essential training on the move, wherever they are in the world.

"We're extremely proud to be selected as a high performing Learning Technology Provider. Now into our 8th year of accreditation, we've found the association with LPI very rewarding. As the only LPI provider currently servicing global safety critical industries, we're appreciative that the unique challenges of operating in this specialist market are being recognised."

Ken Jones of the LPI added: "In safety-critical industries it is paramount that the highest degree of professionalism is employed in all forms of learning and training. I'm pleased to say, Atlas has continually demonstrated this professionalism and performance in developing and delivering all forms of learning technology. Being recognised by the Learning Performance Institute (LPI) in the top 15 is a testament to their dedication. Atlas hasn't gained this honour lightly, they have been prepared to submit the company to annual audits by the LPI, for the past eight years, to ensure they meet and maintain the high standard of capability and performance as set out by the institute. The LPI is gaining more international recognition and it is becoming essential that learning providers can prove their commitment to quality standards of learning."

Atlas Knowledge has also been awarded with two additional distinctions this month after being named Best Safety-Critical Industry eLearning Company at the 2018 HR & Training Awards and Most Outstanding Provider of Learning and Compliance Solutions at the 2018 SME News Business Elite Awards.
