Preparatory construction work began on the project in November 2018, with Amey now looking to strengthen its team.
The contractor will create 300 local jobs over the project's lifespan, recruiting team leaders, site supervisors, operatives, administrators, project managers and quantity surveyors.
CityFibre is anticipated to spend over £100 million on the scheme, with plans in place to reach five million homes by 2025.

Cllr Lezley Marion Cameron, Housing and Economy Vice Convener, added: "Becoming a globally competitive digital city, and the Data Capital of Europe is a key priority of Edinburgh's Economy Strategy.
