Six CCG Projects Nominated For Awards

CCG have said that they are "delighted" that six of their projects have been shortlisted for this year's Scottish Home Awards.

Taking place on 13 June, contractors and housebuilders from across Scotland will battle it out for the top prizes covering the private and affordable housing sectors, innovation and regeneration, amongst others. The finalist CCG projects are as follows:

• Admiral Street – a recently completed mixed-tenure development located in the Kinning Park area of Glasgow consisting of 25 flats for social rent and 10 flats for mid-market rent. delivered on behalf of Southside Housing Association, Admiral Street was constructed using an innovative 'hybrid' timber solution for its superstructure including CCG's 'iQ' panelised timber frame system and Cross Laminated Timber. The project is nominated in the Affordable Housing Development of the Year (Small) and Innovation of the Year categories.

• Craigmillar 19 & 20 – consisting of 111 homes, the development forms the first phase of the Craigmillar Town Centre Masterplan in Edinburgh and is a leading example of urban regeneration and town planning. Delivered on behalf of Dunedin Canmore Housing Association, part of Wheatley Group, the project is nominated in the Affordable Housing Development of the Year (Large) category alongside fellow Wheatley finalist, Tarfside Oval. This 51-home project was completed earlier this year on behalf of GHA and is located in Cardonald, Glasgow.

• Weirston Road located in Kilwinning, this project was one of the very first to have been procured via the Scottish Procurement Alliance NH1 New Build Homes Framework. Consisting of 64 homes, the development emphasises place-setting and community integration whilst offering a series of homes designed specifically for the ambulant disabled and wheelchair users. Weriston Road is also nominated in the Affordable Housing Development of the Year (Large) category and was delivered on behalf of Cunninghame Housing Association.

• Anderston Regeneration – this five-phase, £50m regeneration located west of Glasgow city centre is one of CCG's flagship housing projects. Consisting of 542 mixed-tenure homes, Anderston – a near 10-year undertaking on behalf of Sanctuary Group  – saw the creation of modern, highly energy efficient homes as well as being a project that delivered a wide range of community benefits include 40 trade apprenticeships. The most recent phase to be completed was 4 & 5 consisting of 206 mixed-tenure flats as well as the installation of the Charles Rennie MacKintosh statue, the first of its kind in the world. the project was nominated in the Regeneration of the Year category.

• Riverford Gardens – nominated for Best Starter Home of the Year, this is the flagship development of CCG Homes, the private housing arm of the CCG Group. Consisting of 156 luxury homes and apartments, the development resides on the banks of the White Cart River offering properties for sale from £177,000 set within a Glasgow South Side location that is serviced by a huge range of amenities, transport links, green space and social hotspots. Perfect for first-time buyers.
