CALA Homes Unveil Video Showcasing Garvie Home Type

Construction News Image
CALA Homes (West) has released a showcase video of the five-bedroom Garvie home type within its Florence Gardens development.

Located in the highly sought-after suburb of Doonfoot, Florence Gardens - the first CALA development in Ayr for a number of years – will offer a stunning collection of 62 four and five-bedroom homes.

As the only CALA development to boast a Garvie home type in the West of Scotland at the moment, this is a truly unique and exclusive offering.

With interiors by the Alison Harding of AMW Designs, the video illustrates what's on offer for potential homebuyers in the picturesque town.

A subtle coastal vibe permeates the home, making the most of the development's proximity to the sea.

In the lounge, oversized furniture emphasises the impressive proportions of the room. Calming driftwood-style timbers and soft chrome finishes reflect the light linen upholsteries, with hues of soft blue to warm the palette.

The quiet, restful tones continue throughout, with the kitchen and family space acting as the hub of the home. A bespoke designed corner sofa accentuates the relaxing element of the space as dreamy voiles float across the patio doors leading to the lush garden.

Wicker dining chairs and an oversized pendant light were selected to complement the industrial concrete-style dining table which has been dressed with artisan tableware.

Given the generous floor space in the master bedroom, a statement 'sofa style' headboard was selected for maximum impact. The inspiration for this was taken from a pale blue velvet armchair which had been chosen for the room. A stunning feature pendant in layered clear glass pressed 'petals' add another tier of richness to the space.

Throughout the home, a theme of local coastal views grace the walls, to further enhance the feeling of calm and tranquillity which the Garvie was designed with in mind.

Interior designer Alison said: "Given the fantastic location of the development and its proximity to the sea, I simply had to have some kind of coastal, seaside influence when it came to the interiors.

"I think there's something incredibly calming about being close to the sea, and the designs and colours we've chosen in the Garvie reflects that with the use of relaxing colours and natural, rugged, materials.

"It's a perfect family home – with really generously sized bedrooms and an open plan kitchen and living space as well as a standalone lounge – there's ample room for everyone to have their own space as well as to spend time together in."

Liana Canavan, sales and marketing director at CALA Homes (West), said: "This is our first development in Ayr in a number of years, so we're delighted to give people a taste of what Florence Gardens has to offer with our show homes.

"Alison has done a fantastic job of showcasing the Garvie, and as the only CALA development in the West of Scotland where this home type is available, we can't wait for people to come along and see it for themselves."
