Scotland's leading environmental regeneration charity, the Green Action Trust, have announced a vacancy for a new Development Officer for their Raingarden project.
The Trust said: "Do you want to help create water resilient places for environmental and social benefits? If so, we want to hear from you.
"We have an exciting opportunity within our Strategy and Development Team where you will have lead responsibility for the development and implementation of the 10,000 Raingardens for Scotland Programme for at least the first two years and support the design and delivery of climate adaptation projects for the Trust.
"Applications are sought from individuals with a background in landscape design, water management, or another relevant land-based sector who have a track record of managing and overseeing environmental projects. Applicants must have excellent communication skills, be computer literate and preferably confident in using GIS or AutoCAD. Ideally you will have good knowledge of nature-based climate solutions and community co-design processes. We are looking for an individual who is solution-orientated, motivated by their work and has enthusiasm for improving the environment.
"This is a permanent, fulltime, position based in our office in Shotts, North Lanarkshire. Travel within Scotland will be required; a clean driving licence and access to a car are essential."
