Perth & Kinross Council has announced a programme of road resurfacing works on the section of Perth Road, Blairgowrie from Ardblair Cottage to the north side of the Blairgowrie Cemetery access, from Monday 21 March 2022.
These works are scheduled to last two weeks, weather permitting. Due to their nature, the available road width and requirement for deep excavations, a full road closure with parking and loading restrictions will be necessary. The works will be carried out in two phases:
• Phase 1 - from the midway point of the Hazelwood Road junction to the north end of the site past the Blairgowrie Cemetery access. During this time, access to Lidl and Hazelwood Road will be available from the south side of the site.
• Phase 2 - from the midway point of the Hazelwood Road junction to the south end of the site past the Ardblair Cottages. Access to the Lidl store and Hazelwood Road will be available during this phase from the north side of the site.
The official local diversion route during the works will be via the A923, Bendochy Crossroads, A984, Meikleour Crossroads and the A93. Traffic from Perth will be diverted via the A94, Coupar Angus, A923 - A93.
During the working day (8am to 4.30pm), access to properties within each phase will be limited due to the excavated road surface and the laying of hot road material. If access / egress is required, please expect delays or we kindly ask residents to park vehicles in neighbouring streets to guarantee immediate use of them. There will be traffic management operatives on site who will assist with access requirements during the working day. Outwith the working times, the contractor will make vehicle access points safe and useable with care.
