The project will involve teams removing the existing road safety barriers on the A90 central reserve and replacing them with an upgraded system, ensuring the integrity of this part of the trunk road network remains at the highest standard. In addition, improvements to the existing pedestrian crossing will take place to ensure pedestrian safety when using this crossing in between the two bus-stops located south of Dundee Road.

To ensure the safety of roadworkers and motorists, single lane closures will be in place on both the northbound and southbound carriageway. The lane closures will remain in place 24/7 due to the nature of the works.
Ian Stewart, BEAR Scotland’s North East Representative said: "This essential maintenance project just south of Forfar will ensure the continued safe operation of the network.
"Due to the nature of works it will be necessary to keep the traffic management in place outwith the stated working hours to ensure the continued safety of road users.
"Our teams will do all they can to complete the works as quickly and safely as they can, and we thank road users for their patience in advance while we complete this project. We encourage motorists to plan ahead before setting out by checking the Traffic Scotland website for up-to-date travel information."
