Taylor Wimpey West Scotland has donated 30 tress to the Glenboig Development Trust community garden to mark The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

The donation from Taylor Wimpey supports this growing community garden's involvement in The Queen's Green Canopy, a unique tree planting initiative created to mark Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee this year which invites people from across the United Kingdom to 'Plant a Tree for the Jubilee'.

Teresa Aitken, Operations Manager at Glenboig Development Trust, said: "The Queen's Platinum Jubilee is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our community to celebrate The Queen's 70 years' service to us all. Throughout the Platinum Jubilee weekend we're holding a number of events for the whole community to get involved and celebrate this very special time.

"Planting 30 trees in our community garden in Glenboig is also a lovely way for us to be part of the national Queen's Green Canopy project, and for us to nurture and support these trees as they grow for the enjoyment of the local community for many years to come. I would like to thank Taylor Wimpey West Scotland for their generous donation."

Taylor Wimpey West Scotland is proud to have made this donation of significant value both now and in the future as Audrey Ross, Sales and Marketing Director adds: "We are delighted to be able to support Glenboig Development Trust's community garden to be part of The Queen's Green Canopy. Being able to work with local businesses and organisations that surround our developments means a great deal to us and it's great to know that we are making contributions that go directly to making a difference to the lives of people in local communities."
