The works will see Transport Scotland's operating company BEAR Scotland resurface approximately 1.6 kilometres of the A7, creating smoother and safer journeys for motorists.
To ensure the safety of roadworkers as well as the travelling public, the A7 will be closed between 19:30 and 06:00 on the night of Tuesday 23 August at Ashkirk, and on the nights of Wednesday 24, Thursday 25 and Friday 26 August at Boleside.

On the night of 23 August a diversion will be signposted between Selkirk and Hawick, via the A699, A68 and A698. This diversion will add approximately 14 miles and 20 minutes to affected journeys.
On the nights of 24, 25 and 26 August a diversion will be signposted between Kingsknowe Roundabout and Selkirk, via the A6091, A68 and A699. This diversion will add approximately 9.6 miles and 12 minutes to affected journeys.
Emergency services will be given access through the works at all times and local access for residents within the closure points will be maintained when it is safe to pass through the work area.
Emergency services and other relevant stakeholders have been consulted in advance to make them aware of the plans.
