The project to extend and alter the nursery got underway in June last year and is now complete.
The works, completed by Orkney Builders (Contractors) Ltd, has seen an 365m2 extension to the front to provide additional nursery accommodation.
Councillor Gwenda Shearer is Chair of the Council's Education, Leisure and Housing Committee, said: "How brilliant to see this much needed project reach completion in time for the peedie ones attending childcare sessions over the summer to make the most of it. The extension looks fantastic - and it will serve the youngest folk at Glaitness well for many years."

The ongoing collaboration with the Glaitness Nursery and Primary team has been key to ensuring our success in handing over the building ahead of the contractual deadlines and in time for the children on return from their summer holidays.
