SSE Renewables' Hydro portfolio totals 1,459MW, including 300MW of pumped storage and 750MW of flexible hydro. The business operates 79 power stations across Scotland, incorporating 94 large dams and 77 reservoirs to store water.

A wide range of supply chain opportunities exist, this includes supporting ongoing operations and maintenance of SSE Renewables' hydro asset fleet and also working on refurbishment and replanting projects.

Neil Lannenhead Of Hydro Programmes, For SSE Renewables, said: "The success of hydro operations is critical to the growth and continued success of SSE Renewables. We are keenly aware of the important role our supply chain has to play in delivering projects efficiently and safely.

"The Meet the Buyer event was a very useful opportunity to have a meaningful dialogue with people from many different business sectors about how we can work together. We are very grateful to everyone who took part in the event and following the conclusion of the day we're excited to improve the way we work with businesses of all size on our many, varied projects."
