Savills Expands Glasgow Consultancy Team

Savills has announced the expansion of its Glasgow-based Engineering & Design Consultancy (EDC) team with the appointment of Martin McClafferty as associate director and William Johnston as associate in Glasgow.

With 25 years' experience in the industry, Martin McClafferty joins Savills from HDR Consulting Engineers. In his new role, Martin will focus on consultancy projects, electrical engineering, low energy and sustainability solutions, alongside technical due diligence, dilapidation, condition & acquisition surveys.

William Johnston was previously lead Mechanical Engineer at Kane Group and joins Savills as a Chartered Engineer specialising in HVAC (heating ventilation and air conditioning design) responsible for delivery of mechanical services design.

Welcoming the new Glasgow appointments, Nadeem Khan, EDC director at Savills, said: "How buildings are designed and operate is under the lens now more than ever as the property industry adapts to Net Zero targets in the UK.
