ScottishPower Announces New Creative Agency Partner

ScottishPower has announced the appointment of The Union as its new lead creative agency following a competitive pitch.

The three-year partnership launches as ScottishPower steps up its efforts to encourage consumers and businesses to adopt greener technology amid the UK's drive to Net Zero emissions.

The new collaboration has kicked off in 2024 with a high-profile UK-wide marketing campaign across television, print, outdoor and digital spaces.

Its aim is to encourage the decarbonisation of homes and businesses by spotlighting ScottishPower's greener energy products, ranging from EV chargers, heat pumps and solar panels to 100% green electricity tariffs.

The new campaign also features a new ScottishPower mascot developed by the agency group as the friendly face of the green transformation – Bruce the Butterfly.

The Union Group is Scotland's largest independent marketing agency group. It won two tenders from the company covering both its corporate and retail business arms which will be serviced by both The Union and Union Direct.

Mark Bowen, Sales and Marketing Director at ScottishPower's customer business, said: "We are delighted to welcome The Union on board as ScottishPower's lead creative agency. The benefits of the integrated approach from the Union Group are already clear with the delivery of our first campaign focusing on the switch to greener living, and we look forward to continuing to work together in 2024 and beyond."

Ian McAteer, Founder and Chairman, The Union said: "Winning not only one, but two successful competitive pitches for ScottishPower is an absolute business highlight of the year.

"We are thrilled to be working with ScottishPower and proud of the excellent standard of work, commitment and creativity our brilliant team are already demonstrating in the delivery of our first of many ScottishPower campaigns."
