Morrison Construction Building Central has celebrated the topping out of the Health Innovation Hub project in Glasgow. The life science facility, being developed for Kadans Science Partner in collaboration with The Living Laboratory, is nearing completion.

Dignitaries from the project partners attended the ceremony to mark the building reaching its highest point. Once completed, the 87,000 square foot facility will offer state-of-the-art laboratory and office space for up to 450 people. With flexible spaces ranging from 1,700 square feet, the hub will accommodate life sciences businesses of all sizes, from university spinouts to established companies.

The Digital Health Validation Lab (DHVL), a partnership between the University of Glasgow and NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde, will be the first tenant of the Health Innovation Hub. The DHVL will provide essential infrastructure and expertise for evaluating digital health technologies for clinical use.

The completion of the Health Innovation Hub is a significant milestone for Glasgow's life sciences sector. The facility will foster collaboration, innovation, and economic growth in the city.

Katie Nelson, Head of Leasing, UK & Ireland for Kadans, said: "This is an exciting milestone on the journey to create a truly world-class precision medicine facility. The Health Innovation Hub will help to position Glasgow as a global leader in the key area of precision medicine.
